SABBATH SUNDAYS ARE DIFFERENT AT REVIVE CHURCH
Sabbath Sunday.... what does that mean?
Mark 2:27-28
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
We believe the Sabbath was created for you...
What does that mean? HOW do we approach this differently?
At REVIVE Church, we lock our doors on a few special days throughout the year that we deem our "Sabbath Sunday".
On a month that has 5 Sundays, we DO NOT MEET on the 5th Sunday. The building is closed, but "the church" is very much alive and out in the community! We encourage our congregation to pray in advance to seek what Holy Spirit is directing their family to do. Maybe you've always said "Someday".....I'm going to go visit my family member". WE are giving you that "someday". Maybe the Lord is directing your family to have a private meal and talk about life together. Maybe Holy Spirit is nudging you to spend a day resting--no rush--no hustle & bustle...just rest. YOUR Sabbath Day is to do whatever you feel led by Holy Spirit to do. You may just find yourself having a picnic with other families...road trip...visiting shut-ins...or fishing at a lake spending time in prayer.
We trust Holy Spirit to guide each person and we believe each person will be impacted in a positive way by their Sabbath Sunday.
